BWP Partner Joel O. Wooten Named to Georgia Business Court Rules Commission

BWP Partner Joel O. Wooten has been named as one of eight inaugural members to a commission created to help formulate the rules for Georgia’s new Statewide Business Court. All of the new Business Court Commission members were chosen because of their professional expertise and dedication to public service, said Business Court Judge Walter Davis. Among the new commission’s first tasks will be formulating the rules for the business court. The Georgia Statewide Business Court, a new class of court, was established by constitutional amendment in 2018, and will begin hearing cases on August 1, 2020.
